The old aerial tramway will be replaced by a new one. In addition, a new and modern building is being constructed, which will be the centrepiece of the valley station and our neighbour.

The construction work for the new aerial tramway and the new valley station is expected to be completed in autumn 2'23. Of course, the operation of the connection to Furi and on to the glacier will be guaranteed until then. A temporary ticket office will be built and the guidance system for guests will be adapted to ensure a smooth process. Noise and dust cannot be ruled out during the construction phase. But Zermatt Bergbahnen is doing everything it can to efficiently combat noise and dust so that guests and locals continue to have a wonderful experience.
